Replacement Stretcher and Operating Room Mattresses

All replacement mattresses are designed to meet the heavy-duty requirements necessary for institutional use. The foam core is high density polyurethane foam that meets California Technical Bulletin #117 for fire-retandancy. A selection of foam and materials are available to meet more stringent fire standards such as California Technical Bulletin #129, Boston Fire Code 1X-11 and Federal Flammability Standard 16 CFR 1633 when specified. Your choice of square, round or cut corners are available. Thickness availability: 2”, 3” or 4”. Available in 1, 2 or 3 sections with either a zippered or sealed lock-stitch closure. Velcro straps, fabric hinges and GU cut-outs are available.

The mattresses are manufactured in a variety of cover materials: the conductive material is a UL® registered fabric approved by the Underwriters Laboratories. The non-conductive is a durable bonded vinyl leatherette. Waterfall flaps cover zippers for added protection against infiltration of fluids. Both materials are anti-microbial, non-allergenic and adhere to California Technical Bulletin #117 for fire-retardancy.

Gel-Pro® Viscotec® and Gel Replacement Stretcher and Operating Room Mattresses

The tri-zone core is a combination of a pressure redistribution Viscotec® Visco Elastic Foam top layer covering a viscous gel bladder and a supportive high density polyurethane foam base. The Gel-Pro Replacment Stretcher adheres to California technical bulletin #117 for fire retandancy. A selection of foams and materials are available to meet more stringent fire standards such as California technical bulletin #121, 129, 603 and 1X-11 Boston fire code. Your choice of square, rounded or cut corners are available.

Therapeutic Dual-Zone Foam mattress with SMT™ Technology

The Relief-Care® Pro Mattress System uses advanced Surface Cut Technology (SCT™) to create a clinically effective support surface. SCT™ enables Blue Chip to produce a therapeutic dual-zone PPF® Pressurized Polymer Foam support surface with varying features and properties. This engineering advancement provides proper pressure redistribution that offers the patient a clinically effective mattress with low interface pressures. Homecare & Institutional High-Density Foam Mattress

Designed for use in Nursing Homes, Hospitals, and Institutions. The inner core is a high density, fire-retardant polyurethane foam that is covered with an anti-microbial, fire-retardant material meeting Federal Flammability Standard 16 CFR 1633. The mattress is closed with a self-ventilating zipper, and can be special ordered for use in prisons and psychiatric areas utilizing an inverted lock-stitch closure.

The Home-Care Elite® is covered with a zippered medical grade vinyl material. The cover is fluid proof, anti-microbial, fire-retardant and stain resistant. Floor Mats

Patient safety is a must. Floor mats protect the patient during an accidental fall from bed. The inner core is a fire-retardent high compression polyurethane foam covered with anti-microbial, fire-retardent vinyl meeting California Technical Bulletin #117. All mats are 2” and are available in non-fold, bi-fold or tri-fold design. Available in 3” or 4” height as a special order along with Velcro straps.

Defender Edge Floor Mats

The Defender® “Edge” low profile floor mat has beveled edges that allows for easy wheelchair access and helps to reduce accidental tripping. The inner core is a high compression polyethylene foam covered with Blue Chip’s Chemsafe® anti-microbial, fire-retardant vinyl with a non-skid base. The Defender® “Edge” low profile floor mat can be stored under the bed or folded when not in use. Meets Cal. Technical Bulletin #117 for fire retardancy.

Side Rail Bumpers

Patients are protected from accidental injury due to banging or slipping through a bed rail. The inner core is a fire-retardent high compression polyurethane that is covered with an anti-microbial, fire-retardent vinyl cover, meeting California Technical Bulletin #117. Bumpers are sold in sets and attach to rail with Velcro closures.

Wedge Guard

The Wedge Guard doubles as a side rail gap protector in addition to being a patient positioner. Patients are safe from falls and accidental slippage through any gaps between the mattress and side rail. High density foam and medical grade vinyl cover material meet California Technical Bulletin #117 for fire-retardency and is anti-microbial. Available in full and half rail sizes

Mattress Extender

This versatile device is used to extend a mattress for the needs of a larger patient. When a sheet is placed over the mattress and extender, a unified surface is formed. The extender is covered with Chemsafe® medical grade vinyl. Cover and foam are anti-microbial and meet California Technical Bulletin #117 for fire-retardency. We can customize a unit to fit any bed size.
